Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to the EasyPlank app (hereby referred to as "Application") for iPhone, created by Mahmut Ugur TAS (hereby referred to as "Service Provider"). The Application is provided free of charge and contains no advertising and no in-app purchases.
By downloading or using the Application you agree to these terms. Please read them, and in particular the health and fitness disclaimer in §2, before you use the Application.
These Terms and Conditions are effective as of 2026-08-02.
1. Licence
The Service Provider grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Application on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, extract the source code of, translate, sell, sublicense, rent or create derivative works from the Application or any part of it. All trademarks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights in the Application remain the property of the Service Provider.
2. Health and Fitness Disclaimer
EasyPlank is a fitness tracking tool. It is not a medical device, and nothing it provides is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Planking and other physical exercise carry an inherent risk of injury. You should consult a physician or other qualified health professional before beginning any exercise programme, and particularly if you are pregnant, are recovering from injury or surgery, have a back, neck, shoulder or wrist condition, have a heart condition, or have any other medical condition that exercise could affect.
You use the Application entirely at your own risk. Stop exercising immediately and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath or any other symptom of distress. Do not rely on the Application to tell you that an exercise is safe for you to perform or to continue.
The Application's position checking is an estimate. It infers your distance from the phone using the camera and, where available, depth sensors; accuracy depends on your device, your lighting, your clothing and how the phone is placed, and on iPhones without a TrueDepth camera the Application runs in a clearly indicated reduced-precision mode. A session credited as "valid" does not mean your form is correct, safe or complete, and the Application cannot detect poor technique. It is not a substitute for a coach, trainer or physiotherapist.
Timings, streaks, statistics and any figures written to Apple Health are approximate and are provided for informational purposes only. They should not be used for any medical, diagnostic, clinical or competitive purpose.
3. Safe Use
The Application requires you to place your iPhone on the floor, screen upwards, and to plank above it. Use a clear, level, non-slip surface with nothing you could strike nearby. Take care not to drop yourself, your knees or your elbows onto the device. The Service Provider is not responsible for damage to your device or to any other property arising from use of the Application.
4. Your Data
Your workout history is stored on your device. Camera and depth readings are processed on your device only and are never recorded or transmitted. What limited information is collected, and how you can switch it off, is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
5. Third-Party Services
The Application uses third-party services which have their own terms and conditions, namely Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics and Remote Config) and OneSignal (push notifications). Your use of the Application is subject to those terms in respect of the relevant service. The Service Provider does not control and is not responsible for those services.
6. Service and Connectivity
The Application's core functionality works offline. Some functions — such as checking for updates and delivering push notifications — require an internet connection. The Service Provider is not responsible for the availability of your internet connection, nor for any data charges, roaming charges or other costs your mobile network operator may apply, which remain your responsibility.
The Application uses the camera and sensors continuously during a session and will keep the screen awake, which consumes battery. The Service Provider is not responsible for loss of functionality caused by a depleted battery or by your device running out of storage.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Application is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. The Service Provider does not warrant that the Application will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or compatible with any particular device.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider shall not be liable for any personal injury, property damage, loss of data, loss of profits, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Application.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights that these Terms do not affect.
9. Updates and Termination
The Service Provider may update the Application at any time, and may require you to install an update in order to continue using it. The Application is offered for the current operating system requirements described on the App Store; these requirements may change, and you may need to update your device to continue using the Application. The Service Provider may cease providing the Application at any time without notice to you. You may terminate these Terms at any time by deleting the Application from your device.
10. Apple App Store Additional Terms
Because you downloaded the Application from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that: (a) these Terms are between you and the Service Provider, not Apple; (b) Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support services in respect of the Application; (c) Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Application, including product liability claims, claims that the Application fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation; (d) in the event of any third-party claim that the Application infringes intellectual property rights, the Service Provider, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim; and (e) Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.
The Application is free of charge, so no refund is applicable. If you have a billing question relating to the App Store, contact Apple Support.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the European Union, you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
12. Changes to These Terms and Conditions
The Service Provider may periodically update these Terms and Conditions by posting the updated version on this page with a new effective date. You are advised to review this page regularly. Your continued use of the Application after a change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
