EasyPlank

The plank timer that checks your form.

Most plank timers just count down. EasyPlank puts your iPhone on the floor beneath you and uses its front sensors to watch your position, crediting only the seconds you actually hold a correct plank — and telling you, out loud, the moment you drop out of it.

How it works

A plank goes wrong quietly — the hips drop, and the timer keeps running anyway. EasyPlank measures your distance from the phone instead of trusting the clock.

1

Put the phone down

Screen up, on the floor, roughly under your chest.

2

Calibrate once

Hold a good plank for ten seconds. That becomes your baseline.

3

Plank

The timer credits only the seconds you stay in position, and tells you when you drift.

On iPhones with a TrueDepth camera, EasyPlank measures your distance in real units. On the rest it uses Apple's Vision framework to track how large you appear instead — less precise, and the app says so on screen rather than pretending otherwise.

Features

It watches your position

Your phone lies screen-up on the floor and its front sensors measure how far away you are. No wearable, no manual timer.

Only valid time counts

The clock runs while you hold your calibrated position and pauses the moment you sag or push up. You get honest seconds, not elapsed seconds.

Calibrated to you

A single ten-second hold sets your personal baseline. Everything afterwards is measured against your plank, not an average one.

Coaching you can hear

Your face is pointed at the floor, so the coaching is audio and haptic: a count-in, interval tones, and cues when you drift out of position and back in.

Streaks and real insight

Daily goals, streaks, longest hold, and weekly and monthly trends for how much of each session you actually held.

On your Home Screen

A widget with today's plank time, your streak and your valid-form percentage, at a glance.

Apple Health, if you want it

Completed planks can be saved to Health as Core Training workouts. Write-only — EasyPlank never reads your Health data.

Private by construction

Camera and depth frames are processed on your device and discarded immediately. Nothing is recorded, nothing is uploaded.

Who it's for

People training alone

The feedback a coach would give you about sagging hips, without the coach.

Streak keepers

A daily goal, a streak, and a reminder that shows up at the time you choose.

Anyone tired of guessing

If you have ever wondered whether that two-minute plank was really two minutes, this is the answer.

A note on the camera

EasyPlank needs the front camera to see where you are. Those frames are analysed on your iPhone, in memory, and thrown away immediately — no photo, video or depth map is ever saved or sent anywhere. Your plank history stays on your device. Read the full Privacy Policy.
